Default gutted...

just bought a mk4 combi van with a recent spray job and reasonable quiet diesel engine and few spares in boot great , i thought , ... under the front bumper , the two plates that the bumper bolts through are shagged, and the rear chassis leg around the spring seat has crumbled, is it worth fixing or is it going to cost a serious amount of cash,
i can weld but not to the extent needed
if anyone local fancied making themself some cash and has done this before id be up for paying them do it , dont fancy garage prices
are rear chassis legs stil available or will i need to cut one off another car
dont understand what monkey sprayed over rust on the front panel, and why the chassis leg is mince when the rest of the underneath is mint

lol yeah pissed right off, might just bite the bullet and go see a body shop, thing is want to save it as it'd be great but at the same time is it gonna be worth it all depends on how much it costs i suppose

It'll be worth it if you plan to hang onto it for a long time, but if you change your cars quite regularly then I'd not sink big money into it.

The only good thing about the areas mentioned is that they dont really need finish work ie prep and paint, so this should keep the costs lower

true true, yeah i really like it so i'll do some enquiries into the costs etc, i usually change cars quite quick but if it was as good as it looks then id be happy to keep it
does anyone know if rear chassis legs( around spring seat) are the same accross all mk4 models
