Looking at a little project.. ST24 with no MOT
Ive always wanted an ST24, but im a funny bugger in the way i don't like paying a lot for cars. Ive owned some 45 odd cars in 10 years and i think only 2 of them i paid over a grand for!
Now this ST24 has popped up on the ebay, its an early one, done 110,000 miles, is standard, some tax but no MOT, starting at £400, so i emailed him and offered him £400, he said he would take £500 cash.
Problems it has-
Knocking on left side (normal wishbone issue i imagine)
Usual slight arch rust and body wear n tear for age
Skirt Jacking Covers missing
Might need 2 tyres
Heater only works on number 4
Im looking to purchase one to fix up and then sell my silver mk2 mondeo zetec 2.0 2000 reg once its ready..
Does this sound like a good buy for the money/problems it has?

Couldn't help but notice you posted a thread about a possible condition, saying you have no motivation etc etc?
Nonetheless, doesn't seem a bad price in all honesty buddy, heater will be a simple fix possibly the matrix, jacking covers would costs peanuts, tyres obviously depending on your opinion on part warns, rust can be ground out and re-welded if needed and the potential wishbone is going to set you back not an awful lot either.
How much do 24's go for in good nick?

lol, im not disabled.. just find it hard to get myself going sometimes... think its all down to my anxiety after speaking to a different doctor/people with similar symptoms on here.
Cars are one of my main enjoyments and its not like its going to involve a great deal of effort, its just the gamble with the MOT lol.

if there the only problems, they shouldnt cost a lot to sort. i wouldnt worry about rust on the top side aslong as its not rotten. but id be making sure structuraly its sound, because ive known of a couple that looked mint on the top side, no rust at all, but underneath, sills, floorpans, and chassis legs were rotten. so make sure if you do buy it, you spend plenty of time looking it over, and checking EVERYTHING.

Haha, never said you were disabled
Fair enough, I'd say it was worht a look, like Fiddy said, check everything, and check again!

As mentioned above the heater problem is the resistor that screws onto the blower motor behind glove box, easy fix but check the wiring plug as well as they tend to melt, can get new plug from Ford as well as the resistor.
