Car Alarms, talk to me! Anti hijack etc
I need an alarm for the 500 and fancy something with anti hijack, we get a lot of cars in with Cliffords fitted and these seem to be the only ones with anti jack, are there other options? What do you lot reccomend?

a shotgun on the back seat is always a good deterrant :top: what about the flame throwers you get on cars in south africa? might scorch the sideskirts but i dont think the car jacker will bother you again.

toad ai606t2 can be set to anti jacking,
a very reliable alarm and many bonus features that you are likely to never use/utilise. much the same as top spec cliffords for less cash but is again very dependant on the fitting! |

as much as anti hijack is a good idea, i am sure you will find it to be very annoying and hardwork when in your own car
i.e i borrow friends es cos, pull over at cash machine, engine running, 3 friends still in car, next thing i am going down road with alarm going of and then the engine dies :cry::cry::cry: i didnt know the hijack code, now, not saying this is what your going to be doing martin but it did my nut in, and is now removed |

id go for a cliford all bells and whistles alarm.
any1 that says theyve had problems with one just had it installed by some1 who doesnt know what theyre doing. ive had countless cliffords on loads of cars, all fitted by the same blokke, and never had 1 problem |

Got an AI606T2 on my truck - Very good bit of kit, easy to fit DIY and 100% reliable.
The only thing I would criticise is the lack of range on the clicky fob, but other than that superb :king: As an extra I cary a breaker bar too for personal safety :king: |

She got out of car to unload shopping and the wanker struck, anti hijack would have seen the car stop somewhere down the road and teh car would have been recovered.

Like my wife is going to want to use one of those, haha!
Get her a Monodonok 26" autolock baton then - perfect for fitting in her handbag and not overly heavy - When used in the correct way can easily break a Femur or other large bones   Autolock baton Reasonable price there too ;-) Just a shame it's an offensive weapon that you can get in hot water for owning  |

martoon, find the alarm on the bay,
then contact me for spec sheet to fit, i would fit it but birmingham is too far to do stuff for nowt! |
Had a clifford sense and tell or summit alarm in my escos with an anti-hijack.
When you went to start car you click key till dash light up and enter a 3 digit sequence in to supply earth to fuel pump, then after started entered a 5 digit sequence before 15 seconds or cut out.And obviously the 5 digit sequence any time a door opened.............What a fucking pain in the arse and i would never have it again!!!! If i had to get similar id get one that killed engine via remote should you get jacked. A mate had a cheaper anti-hijack alarm and his car got stolen via hiab on to flatbed and stolen. |
most anti-hijack stuff rely on a pin code.
Its really not that much of a hassle to enter the code. if its too much hassle maybe you should ask yourself if you cant be bothered to protect the car adequately then you take the increased risk of losing it. |
The one thats on mine is a Clifford G650 it's about 6 or 7 years old now but I think even the new ones still use that little 2 button key pad.
Speak to Giles @ Quicksilver in Sparkbrook they were really helpful when I had mine fitted they have been there for years. Rich |
