Default Euro trip - interested?

Leaving 8th of june, get to lemans a couple of days before the race enough time to meet all the people that are gonna come, and get ready for the full 24 hours ahead


yep im organising a trip around france through the alps in to germany finishing at nurbergring
heres a basic map

the trip ive worked out is going to cost £1500-£2000, with have loads and loads of special photo opitunites where you wouldnt think monaco cannes alps etc etc, ive got a couple of people interested just wondering if anyone else would be interested this trip would be awesome if i can get the right amount of people

lol na its not technical yet just and idea of what kind of route through what places etc its not technical the technical one i got is about 12 pages long so far lol

we do something similar every year,costs a lot less though,we steer clear of france as much as possible due to the tolls and end up spending circa 300 per person based on 2 people per car,its a great adventure

this was our route,11 days worth there,amsterdam,nurburgring,italian grand prix,ferrari factory,loads of fun!

When are you planning on going? A couple of mates are going to do something similar but we want to go for a bit longer.

to keep costs down find normal roads that follow the autoroutes,as there are SOOOOO many tolls its just not funny,to drive through france one way on autoroutes costs more than a whole years car tax in the uk!its every few miles and annoying at best,have a good time,and dont speed too much as the french arent too forgiving

You seem to be missing out the best bit of all which is the mountain passes in Switzerland!

we're going the thursday before weekend of lemans as we're driving down to watch le mans first then the monday after we're starting the trip .

Ah fair enough, if you can the Furka Pass, Grimsel Pass and Sustenpass roads are well worth doing

France motorway toll costs are ridiculously high... As a rule of thumb, about 5 euro Euro for every 100 kms of motorway...

If you do the trip, give me a shout and I might join in for the last part through Germany...

From experience, ferries to Dunkirk are cheaper than Dover.

Also, last time i booked one I did it right in the harbour, the evening before I actually went. Only cost 35 quid or so.

Guess it doesn't really pay off to book weeks or months in advance.

oh it does pay off,its about 20 quid in advance,whereas it can be up to about 50 on the day,get the ferry booked nice and early

Mine are all booked already £7.50 deal lol 8 tickets booked just waiting for tickets to arrive then I can give them out to the people that are coming

What's BLESMA? I would be up for doing something for H4H even if it is seperate from my main trip with my mates.

Yeh deffo up for it. My dad did a 150 mile bike ride for H4H in May. One end of Furteventura to the other, and back angain in one day!

Should have put a date up to start off with

Few of use have choosen a date due to all of us doing our yearly trip to lemans.

We will be doing it again next year aswell which we could do earlier to maybe kick off the new show season and could finish up at pod
