Behind my house there are 3 parking spaces all owned by different neighbors. In the corner of the car park are a load of bushes and as far as I know ,nobody is responsible for it. How do I find out who's land it is as I could turn it into another space.

To begin the process you should fence it and clean it and keep in clean and well maintained. If you are not challenged then after 12 years it's yours.

Adverse Possession is the legal term.

To determine ownership go to the Land Registry site and you can search using a map and pointer, or by OS map which should show all the plots and borders of the properties.

if your little arear is a developement that infillled space later than tehesurrounding stuff then i expect it was left to look pretty for new buyers and save money on developing so there should be no hassle cleaning it out

Ive got a book someware on claiming land,all i can remember is it can take a very very long time and its not a simple case of fencing the land off lol

When we got the land at the side of ours it was 12 years and 1 day before it was legally ours, that was a few years back so dont know if any laws have changed since then.
Cant see it being 12 months because that is a pretty short time and with land prices the way they are some clever cunts could make good money fairly quick.
