Cracking bikes these are i remember an old friend of mine from school his dad had one, we used to ride bmx (street/ park riding) when we was in his garage changing parts on the bmx he used to say if you go anywhere near my bike i will wrap your bmx round ya neck !
my dads just told me after seeing the above pictures my uncle had a norton in the late 70's that he payed nearly 2k for but cant remember if it was a manx or not, or even a replica. i'll have to find out.
Out of interest did you have any luck with the vale onslow link i sent you? Just wondering
That's one hell of a piece of engineering and I could walk about that taking in every single detail for quite some time I can't believe the detail in there! single cylinder?? What's the cc?
The bigger Tank is a special part of a manx , Its like a 500s front splitter
Its still a 500 without it but looks sooooo much better with it
Fair enough, I dont know enough about them to know what classes as being a good one or not, just know that to my personal taste it looks good on the small tank.
What a beautiful bike!!!!. I love the old British singles. I used to own a BSA Clubmans Goldstar in my younger days , which was a racer for the roads. I used to regularly piss off the Triumph and Norton twin boys with it .I always promised myself another one but couldnt justify spending the sort of money they were fetching around 7 years ago, so I ended up buying a 1977 KZ Kawasaki 1000 which is a classic in its own right, for a third of the price.
