The conversion is certainly different, but I can't say I really see the appeal myself.
no it was just a base 1.6 shell, but its been inch welded and has full race cage, wouldn't cut up a genuine shell, not that mad

kit is going even more radical, 5.4 supercharged race engine, 4wd and 1000hp at the wheels, so yes was impressive, but going to be impressive to a hole new level.

A viper engine in a Sierra 3-door shell should not have big problems reaching 200, the Sierra has a drag coefficient of ca. 0.34 (or 0.32 in Xr4i trim) and the Viper manages 190 with a drag coefficient of 0.400
Cool project btw
And yes, the whole world is waiting for pics and vids

this engine is a gen3 engine and came from the 195 mph viper, and it pulls 175 to 195 in 6th gear which is a .5 ratio gear, now that is what you call torque
each cylinder is 830 cc, so just over 2 cylinders is the same cc as a cossie 4 pot

the shell was a cossied up shell, full race roll cage and cossie running gear, whale tail, so it will look like a cossie going down the road,
one of these engine and box setups from america will set you back with the new ECU about Ł7.5k, don't know what power its running but its factory power was 505hp, 525lb/ft, but its now not running a cat, A/C or power steering (going to be heavy), and the ECU has been mapped to off road use, so it could be nudging 600hp and 600lb/ft, with 90% of its torque from 1500rpm
(get in, shut up and hold tight)

yep, it gets its power from its size, its about as advanced as a 1.6 crossflow, but 5 times bigger with fuel injection.
