Default anyone know what rwd box to go on a 1.8td from a mk6 scort

hi my mate has asked me to take the turbo diesel engine out of his p reg mk6 escort and fit it in his sj410 off roader does anyone know what box and clutch we could use many thanks

sierra's used this engine mate. And the p100 pick up. They might have shorter ratio's too . Plenty people done this conversion too

ah cool i will have to try and find a p100 box then guess we would need the p100 flywheel clutch and starter etc

Make sure you get a diesel type 9 not a petrol cos they are differant and you need the RWD flywheel, clutch and starter as well as they are differant to the FWD ones
If you use the escort stuff the bottom hose will come out on the passenger side just above the injection pump and be facing the bulkhead so some pipework will need doing and you'll need to either fit the RWD turbo and manifiold as the FWD one sits over the drivers side engine mount holes on the block or make something up to clear it
Just fitted a hybrid mondeo/escort/sierra TD in a MK3 cortina
still got the plumbing to sort but using the RWD water pump moves the bottom hose to the drivers side facing forward but this requires the RWD timing belt cover and backing plate as well so tubing might be easyer unlesss you strip a conpleat RWD engine
