just had a minor rta and he failed to stop.........
was driving home this evening, there was some old boy in the middle of the road wanting to turn right decided that to just pull out in front of me,well i had a choice t-bone the side of his car or go up the curb.....well i guess i chose wrong as when went up the curb he just buggered off (i knew wheel and tyre would have damage),i gave chase flashing lights trying to get him to stop, his reaction......flicked v-sign at me.well we got to some traffic lights, i get out, tell him what he did,he wont even look at me let alone wind window down,so i followed him for a while gave up as he could drive on forever.
both tyre and wheel have minor damage (both front tyres is less than two weeks old and they aint cheap for transit sportvans) which some would say `so what` but what if it develops a major fault etc etc
anyway reported him to the 5-0 and they gonna go see him, were quite interested about the failing to stop and v-flicking
so thats how my weekend started anyone else have a better one??

Typical duffer, they do the worst driving then when you get along side they dont even look at you for the mouth full they deserve!
Im surprised the rozzers are interested, usuallly they'll do anything to avoid any action.
Hope you get a good result mate

I had a lorry hit me a couple of months back, his trailer hit my passenger door/smashed the window and he just fucked off up the road.....an independant witness came forward etc etc etc but nothin ever came of it despite police statements/accident department etc as he just claimed he didn't know he'd done it and i ended up having to pay my excess to get my van repaired quickly. The law is an ass when it comes to matters like this.
Sadly can't see you gettin too far, despite the old cunt clearly needing a word in his ear at the very least

A Bit Random
bad luck. i had a van hit the side of me, knocking me in the hedge. then he drove off. i drove after him whilst on bluetooth to police gave them the reg number ect. i then had to go to hospital as wrist was killing me, turned out i fractored it as got it caught on the steering wheel. i had to go to police station make a report, then they sent me a letter through asking for more details and pictures 3 weeks later had a letter from police saying they wer'nt going to do anything as no evidence! complete waste of time. as my only witness was was 3 year old daughter.
hope u get a better result

good luck but don't think you've got a chance of this going any further!!
A few years ago a guy thought he'd be able to brake check me a couple of times (to get my attention) then leave me standing.
He had a shock how quick my 3 door was as i very quickly over took him and left him standing!! This was only on a short stretch of road and as i was waiting at the lights he pulled up along side, i thought he was going to give the thumb's up, but no he jumped out of his car and started kicking and punching my beloved car!! The first punch smashed the side window and my first thoughts were the damage he was causing so I just floored it and got the hell out of there. 100yds down the road the cheek of what just happend sunk in so i went round the block to find him! He was gone but a guy on the side of the road called me over and said he'd seen everything, he'd got the guy's number plate he'd be a witness so i went to the police and reported it.
When i chased it up a couple of days later the police said we went to his house and he did't know who was driving.
Ya right, thanks for nothing

I think you're on to a loser by chasing this up with the police and hoping for criminal proceedings to occur. As already said, the other driver wasn't involved in any accident as such, had no reason to stop.
Having said that, I would pursue the matter through small claims court and start civil litigation, especially given the fact you have a witness and have made a complaint to the police.
You have a far better chance of getting some money back by going down this route.

well 5-0 got back to me,its owned by a mobility firm so took a while,he denies pulling out on me so its me and my witness` word against his word and his witness` word
admits to v-sign but only cos i tailgated him (though i checked if i had done that i wouldnt have seen him do it due to raised seat height) and followed him (to have a word with him i explained)
copper said best to go the route of insurance but i doubt i`ll have any joy
had the tyre checked and its safe and tracking checked
Glenny-boy they are 235/45/18 mate, sorry not had tinternet access on my pc since last week only on the dangleberry and that is sheeite
chalk this one up to experience and will now drive straight into someone if they pull out on me,serves me right for not wanting to hurt a fellow `human` even if he was a lieing smelly piss-stained old twat !!!
