I've had 2 of them.

The 3.2S 986 went in November last year. Fantastic cars to drive on road and track, soundtrack is superb too.

Show me a Ford that handles better out of the box?

And 165mph isn't slow to me...

I test drove an S2k for an hour or so with a mate and it was a brilliant car (think you've got to love the VTEC characteristics.. to enjoy it properly) to hoon around in with the roof up or down.

Defo sounds like its worth trying to get a drive of one, I'm not expecting it to be lightning (specially since I'm used to turbo shove) but to be honest... I want something which is a bit more of a package than a one trick pony, which was the reason I wanted rid of my EK9 as it was far too balls out for me and the part of the reason I'm wanting the Subaru gone is that I find it severely fast on the road without even trying at all, so I'd actually prefer something a bit more linear and chilled.

I would say the S2K would be more roomier yes, although you do sit very low in it so getting in and out is a bit more hard work if your tall (Porker is still low but not as low as). Dashboard on the S2K is awesome with the digital gauges etc. Boot space is ok in both although you do look a bit of a tit opening the front of the boxster getting stuff in it! Also feels VERY well made inside, not rattly or jappy feeling like most jap motors. Also come fully loaded as standard pretty much so no options to trawl through when buying (Boxster has thousands of weird options which pretty much make the car easy or hard to sell depending!).

Off for a swim but will post pics of both of them later!!

Thats not the sole intention, but it is definitely a factor for me.

End of the day, I wouldn't be as confident or feel as happy pulling up outside a nice bar/club/hotel in a dull beige Citroen Picasso as I would be getting out of something a bit tasty looking like the Boxster that I put a picture up of.

Grant
