Why not just take the windscreen out completely and wear goggles?
That way you can take off the window wipers [you need them for an mot/sva on kit cars if the windscreen is over a certain height, take it out, no need for them]
THEN without a windscreen and seing as you'll have a roll cage anyway, cut the roof off and do away with ALL the windows.
THEN you could mount the radiator and intercooler on the TOP of the roll cage, both aiding cooling AND forming quite a fancy spoiler.

You can get heated front screens for less than you think, look around the rally supply shops etc. They make them all!
Ditching all the heating stuff not only saves a bit of weight, it gives you more space inside the car and engine bay, removes a couple of potential failure points (heater matrix popping could put an end to a track day!) and you can remove all the associated wires etc.
It's also less parts to go flying around in the event of a smack and less parts to reshell when you do!!
