Can 17's

Ever fit an RST properly, ie not catch?

I dont mean just by stiffening it up - the wheels need to go into the arch to maintain the travel. I can have 5 people in my car at the mo, and it will never catch.

Yup i have had my car fully loaded on 17's thats with a -25mm drop and not even a slight rub even over speed bumps

Andy-R Jan 12, 2005 10:36 PM

YES! 205/45/17's with konis and -20mm!

4 up from Glasgow to London and full boot of luggage, no problems at all.

Ditto, that, although, mine was with just two people in really, only really one side at the back, think it was the edge of the kit, still I got some spring assistors in the rear now, it brought the arse end up a bit but it dont rub now with 2 people in aint tried any more.

Bearing in mine I dont have any grinded out arches or anything, all standard :DD:

Oranoco Jan 13, 2005 10:04 AM

Mines a 35mm drop as well so I spose I can't really grumble about a little catching

CliffRS4 Jan 13, 2005 10:48 AM

Mine used to scrape but is now fine now I have Avo coilovers on the front and Bilsteins on the back

Haven't got any rear seats now as thew cage goes in next Thursday :DD:

Depends what offset and design the wheel is...
is it 7x17 or 7.5x17?

Jon ERST S2 Jan 13, 2005 09:17 PM

Sorry - I meant to say it catches with three (i.e More than two)

Only on the back rubbing on the inside of the arch.
