New Track Toy
I want to get into some trackdays. I wanted something cheap and cheerfull to begin with so if it gets damaged it doesn't really matter.
£1300 later i got this little gem. Its been chipped and revs to 8000rmp, just has all new bushes, bearing and breaks.
Im going to strip it out and do a couple of weight saving mods but i think it should be perfect for the job

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Waste of time the thing that weighs the most is the front seats - the rear seat bench just pulls out, the back of the bench is a fucker to un bolt, the only other thing is the spare wheel.
Fit an oil cooler
Fit a good set of front brake pads
Fit a set of braided lines.
Get a spare set of wheels and some slicks / semi slicks.
Track the bastard
Drive home
Job done.
If you like it then strip it out etc.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Ps the brake pads to go for are Carbon Lorraines if you're not broke but on a budget or Pagid Blues if you're loaded.
On track they're awesome and show up a lot of more expensive machinery... mine was faultless and also did 15k on the road - it first went on track at 104k miles....

A friend of mine has a 172 cup that he use's for track and the bloody thing flies and as mentioned, shows up much more expensive machinery.
He has AT throttle bodies, cams, exhaust and an Emerald K3 (sorry Chip), and made 220bhp at Emerald when mapped.
