Default Mk4 golf turbo temp gauge..

my gf mk4 golf 1.8 turbo...and the temp gauge is playing up if u leave it sitting there the gauge reads in the middle at 90 and heaters are lovely and hot...when u start driving it the gauge slowy falls down too 0 and the heaters go luke warm!!!!....

Ive changed the temp sensor,water pump,thermostat,bleed the system 3 times,,all the pipes get hot the rad gets hot and the 2 heater pipes get hot 2.....

Just cant work it out .... any ides of help would be great..

Yeap defo thermostate same prob on my vrs. Under the inlet manifold behind the alternator.

Could be a dodgy new thermostat? I'd try another just to rule it out of the equation! Or test it in a pan of hot water and a thermometer.

sounds like its sticking open or is the wrong one fitted
