Capri V8
thanks for the kind words,
it was a stressful year last year and the start of this year,
sometimes i wished i had left the 3.9 v8 in there due to the problems we had with the new motor,
the intake pipe is due to the ultra rare twim plenum intake mate,
this has been modded to suit my application, been converted to the later style injectors (o ring and rail) and had a later style stepper motor setup graphed on,
this all maybe for sale soon if theres not enough room for the charger,
the axle mod is due to the first outing at the pod this year, first run, i broke her big time,
ripped the axle clean off the spring pads, bent the prop in two places and bent and twisted both shafts, that was WITHOUT the gas
still ran a 1.9 60ft and a 14.8 1/4 with shutting off at 1/8 mile due to the damage,
roll on next year

V6 ford is pile of shit, had one, been there, done that, my 2.1 pinto AUTO was WAY faster than my 2.9 xr4i, just add a piper 270 to the rover v8 and you're well over 200lbft, my dads puts out around 240bhp and 280lbft, a 4L on su carbs, will crack 30mpg on a run using a 3.14:1 diff.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I wouldn't bother with rover V8 unless ya can get bigger capacity out of TVR not worth hassle. ive had all sorts in mine 2.1 pinto, 2.8i ,3.5V8, standard 2 litre zetec and current zetec st170 engine with a T2 strapped on. must admit V8 sounded well but standard zetec was as quick and was much more reliable

Time for an update on my v8 capri 4yrs on
The 4.6 now fully lightened and balanced with a decked and top hat linered block
and sporting a rotrex supercharger,
capri + v8 + supercharger what more would you want

You've been busy. looks a proper neat job, I really like this.
Were there many tearing your hair out moments?
What sort off power do you expect?

cheers everyone,
boostmonster you won't believe the moments we had doing this, still pulling my hair out now,
estimated around 450bhp mate,
making plans to build a better engine over the winter and try and push her over 500bhp.

That's very impressive! Definitely something to be proud of! I did my first ever engine change this year and it's not a scratch on this! Hopefully see it this year.
Which shows/events you going to take her to?

I'm certainly not the worlds biggest Capri fans( to be honest I just plain don't like them)

Paul your name has been on the passengers seat for a while my friend
Hope to be running at classic ford in June then again at the retro show,
bodywork looking a bit tired now though but didn't want to start that area until engine bay was finished etc no point damaging fresh paint with engine mods,
