Anyone know about supras ?
I dont want to join mkivsupra.whatever.
But does anyone know what a supra mk4 TT jap spec can handle on its standard internals ? According to the USA its like, 1khp but over here they seem to go pop at less than half that, and we have better fuel.
Anyone ?
Im 2 years away from affording one and a bit out of touch, a T78 was the best turbo when i last looked at them put it that way.

uk ones were rated at 320bhp, not 375 lol. But put a full exhaust, filters and run it at a bar of boost and it will produce 400bhp-450bhp, depending on condition and how aggressive you map it
the bottom end on a 2jz is very strong, much like the yb it will produce alot of power on standard internals, they all ran the same bottom ends, it was just top end and turbos that were different
Yes if you have perfect fueling and a massive turbo its possible to get 1000bhp on a standard bottom end but it is a ticking time bomb.
If you want reliability so you can cane the guts out of it and it be fine then i wouldnt go above 750bhp, which to be fair should be enough for most people.

Im buying one when I graduate.
Anyway i have a few k stashed away and have always wanted a supra, if they can handle 500 at the wheels on standard internals then i can probably afford the big turbo to run that.
