Paul Ralhan - worked at AW (Heathrow and Slough) for about six years; then on to AG (Slough and Reading). During these spells I covered a variety of other branches / depots either on call or for problem jobs / absences.
Six years ago I decided to go alone and started Glasstec (cover North London, Hertfordshire, a bit of Essex and some Middlesex too).
If you fancy having a chat off-line, gimme a call.
I also founded The Automotive Glaziers' Guild - an online support network for automotive glazing professionals. You'll find a lot of good support there from a lot of people who have been through what you're going through now.
If the admins are ok with it, I'll post a link...

The Automotive Glaziers' Guild is an online community for those involved in the windscreen services industry. It is currently private (not for public viewing) as we're still building the site and some of this windscreen chat is top secret

I worked for RAC AutoWindscreens, loved it @ the Heathrow branch, good lads, good customers, etc. Moved closer to home (Mitcham branch) as a base fitter and was told I would not do call outs as I was a base fitter. The first week I was put on call outs and had to go to Brixton @ 4:45pm.
I went from Mitcham to Croydon to get the glass, then onto Brixton to fit the glass in pitch black (No lighting supplied by the company) and fucked the job right up as I hadn't done one of these 1/4 glasses before. After finishing the job I got home @ 9:30pm. As soon as I walked through the door, sat down to eat food, I got another call to fit another window. Told them to get fucked as I started work @ 9am and only just got home.
I walked out a few weeks later

theres nothing top secret about the glass fitting business come on now You will find data thats only commercially sensitive material can never have a security classification higher than RESTRICTED-COMMERCIAL under national security classifications.
Youd be surprised. with police youd pass the physical no problem, and with practice same for navy/RAF. Only flaw you might have is if BMI is too high you might fail the medical. I was a fat cunt in the navy and got away with it fine as long as i passed by bleep test/1.5 mile run
