gutted but i would have thought it would just be fixed as the damage will only be a fraction of what the car is worth as a wing and bumper will work out a lot cheaper than a new car.

I am fairly sure the parts for the RS are still very hard to get hold of, might explain why Ford exchange crashed cars.

Pretty sure they'll repair yours, there not going to give you a new car for minor damage, that would mean your other would need to be registered as a Cat D.

not just for a bumper, bonnet and wing it wont... ford have assured me that....either way old or new just want to be back on the road...but the gap policy i have with the car means new 1 if any complications with the car...so if it does get repaired watch this space

i doubt it will go on a catd because the time taken to repair it will not be much. Its not always about the parts its labour that so often puts them on a cat d but with mats been so minor i recon they'll put the parts on and the labour wont be much

Do you have gap insurance when you pay cash for a car? I thought GAP was for finance deals. Might be wrong, just my understanding.

It would only go on a Cat D if it was written of. I.e. they gave Mat a new car then sold the other on. Or if he chose to "buy it back".

i think your getting confused with payment protection pal!! the gap scheme from ford covers me as a new owner for...3 sets of tyres replaced if damaged and 10 free wheel refurbs...and 2 new cars if such as 1 get classed as a right off...

anyhow to the conclusion...MR MACFORD.... you seem to know my old reg number then forgot it when questioned and then described me with dark hair and yet you reside in nottingham...and has only just joined and seem to think i paid cash for it!. i smell a rat......
