I was 21 when I started at Mckeefry's I passed in the September n started in the October and everyone said to me how lucky I was to get a start in such a big company. I think the main reason I got the job was because I already knew a fair bit about tankers because I've been around them for about 12 years previous due to going with my grandad. There was 3 of us driving tanks at 1 point, me, my grandad and my uncle but my grandad retired for the 3rd time when he hit 70 and let his license go.

It has gone slack lately, I think the tanks have been hit quite hard, I know we did as alot of is were getting stood down for the day or only picking up 9 hours on most days. We seem to be very busy lately though, were all flat out.

Can you map the merc actros, 2544? What gains would you get and how much would it cost?

Hello guys, I've had a little thought and I was wondering if you would all be interested in me setting up a little forum for us all to use.

We could all have our chats n banter on there instead of filling this forum with our truck threads lol. It's just a little thought so let me know what you think.

I know of trucknet but I was thinkin of a closer comunity. People know each on here (some more than others obviously) it could be used for passing information round maybe seeing were people are going or parking for the night and aranging to meet for a few scoops.

C2 driver here, had my licence nearly 3 years now....used to do courier/light haulage work and am now doing recovery for a small local firm.

At the moment I have a 52plate Renault Midlum 220dci 10ton slidebed and a Gplate DAF 95 380bhp wrecker at my disposal

Going to do my C1 and ADR soon when the boss decides to put me through it....

over here your class1 is your basic artic,a unit and trailer,or a 6 or 8wheeler and smaller trailer etc, your class 2 covers you up to 32 tons on a single vehicle,i dont think you allowed to pull a trailer on class2,unless its a van and horsebox,a your're allowed to drive a artic unit without the 5th wheel fitted so you cant couple up to a trailer, you have to get your crane licence and adr etc seperately.

hmm ok. Well here it works like this: You get your license for driving a car. After that you get it for a single and after that for a trailer/combi wich is the same stamp. The you get your diploma. And then its just on your way. Get any truck you like.

I've not heard of anything going like that round my way but I suppose it would be abit far for you anyways. Just had another thought on a name, hgvcafe. So it's either that or hgvbanter. Any other suggestions?

Served my time they had a few Wagons ... Old Fodens ... 4400 3406 CAT engines .. Shear the Bell housing Bolts if driven wrong with the EaTON twin ..

That Scania Vid, Straight through exhaust ... Very illegal ...

Done some Tune work on C15 and C18 engines for emmisions mainly ... Not gonna Piss EURO 5 if you tune them up to much.
