2003 JWRC kited Fiesta with FRS engine
Hey folks,
Just looking for some advice on buying a Fiesta with this conversion. The base car was a 2003 1.4 which has been converted with an RS engine, JWRC kit, coilovers, Focus ST leather, Stack Dash, Go Tech engine managment, bigger brakes etc.
Its very difficult to price such a car as i'm sure the build cost was £££ but as a ballpark whats a reasonable price.
Car in question...

£7000 your getting a very good car and yes does need a few bits doing as far as i can remember but my Ryan sold the fiesta a year ago just after Fast Ford feature and only sold up as needed the money to help finance getting his own home otherwise would of kept it

Looks the bollocks and would cost a lot more than that to build, would like to see it close up before a deal was offered though.
Rossimarc how much did it cost him to build? Dont forget mate a lot can happen in a year and not everyone knows how to look after cars.

Point taken what you have said condition may of gone down hill but when Ryan had the Fiesta it was pretty spot on mate .
£7000 a bargain but it is quiet thirsty but generally a good solid and sound car with no rot and was running aprox 250bhp

Err you need to check your facts before you go spouting - he wasn't the 1st not by a long shot!
Back to the topic - I think the car is ok but why would you want something with such a garish bodykit on it? I understand if there is an actual need for the wide arches etc (fiesta mk6 super 1600 etc) but if it's just fibergash it would put me off the whole car!
But it depends what your looking for fella - I would of saved £1000 and bought my old fiesta in my sig but thats gone aswell so there you go...
Keep us posted anyway fella i'd be interested to see what it's lke if you buy it, I've had a look around it at a few shows and I wasn't impressed with the overal fit and finish. But I do have high standards....
Good luck!!

looks alrite to me, don't like the fact that it is still a 1.4 on log book though.. bit dodgy that really, and i don't like the wide arches that much, apart from that looks ok

...............
Simhoppers was on the road with FRS engine installed by Pumaspeed/build, cant remember which. At that time it was std bodywork in gold. He had loads of issues with the install like wiring and engine mounts. He then took it off the road and eventually reshelled with a brand new shell, fully welded in cage etc. He was building a more powerful engine but then decided to break the project.

Thats all well and good but thats got nothing to do with the topic starter's question!
I'm not bothered that your son had the bollocks to waste all his money he can do what he wants with it. I know 1st hand how much it costs to put an engine in a fiesta mk6 then turbo it and to be the actual 1st person to do it with that type of engine (I know there was one before me but he changed the throttle from fly by wire which moved it away from the st engine to a mondeo mk3 engine, although this is fundametally the same engine the fly by wire throttle is where you have the mapping issues!).
Please take the fact that I know more than you about this topic into consideration before another silly post
Oh and I don't want to start a slanging match

BTTT, I think it looks pretty cool... certainly different.
As someone said before, Personally I would get the engine changed on the log book as thats just heading into a world of hurt should it be subject to an insurance claim.

As above really - mine was legal when on the roads!
Imagine if you knocked someone over or crashed into someone?
Terrible thing to have to deal with!
