anyone turbo'd a saxo vts engine? or no of a vts turbo?
hi, reason im asking is im trying to guage on there reliabilty for my winter project ( berlingo vts track van ) :DD:. ive got the van & the engine & i have abit cash spare so decidng wether to go for 1st way a reliable ish 160/170bhp n/a or 2nd way go for a turbo conversion. the 1st way could see me having the engine dropped in pretty quick & alough not exactly balistic im happy if it is quicker than a normal vts or 106gti.
(this is not the same berlingo as the fault code thread) cheers nic |

They respond really well to turbo conversions... DP-Engineering are getting 300bhp out of standard bottom ends using just a decomp plate. If I remember rightly the 410bhp one mentioned up the thread a bit is still on standard crank and rods, just a set of pistons.
VERY strong engines, fair few 500+ bhp ones popping up overseas too. http://www.dp-engineering.nl Do a good few bits like manifolds, ARP head studs etc :) |
