Just got back in from what was supposed to be a cruise in the Saph and resulted in the gearbox letting go 10mins away from my place.

He's running a MTX75 with some other mechanical's and the engine is either under 500 or just over 500.

So what are his options? I remember the talk of a Barabox and i've suggested but he would like to go for a 6 speed. I suggested the Skyline box but he doesn't want a Dog box as it a road car. Can't he just use a standard skyline box without the dog engagement? Anyone shed some light?

I told him the MTX shouldn't even be in the car. They tend to crap out at 375 if i'm not mistaken. I've suggested Bara but i'll get him to ring Martin and see what can be done.

Oh he'll spend. He's not one to cheap out on upgrades. That said, i'm not sure why he didn't upgrade the box when he rebuilt the engine.
