Whos the best, i am with axa i think, whoever northern rock give you when you start the mortgage but i did a quick check recently and i am paying 39 quid a month and it looks like i can get a decent company for half that!

Who you with, anything i should be carefull of when i buy a new policy?

I just renewed mine, Sheila's wheels came up the best quote to include legal cover.

Try the comparison websites then go on the sites of the top 5 and see if they're any cheaper that way.

Be prepared for loads of nuisance phone calls after you've put your details in!

Im with Tescos, just renewed with them and the policy went down to £19 per month!!!! (3 bed semi including building and contents).

Im with CIS, and the price was good, but just going through a claim at the mo, and there utter crap. claims been going on for nearly 3 months now and still no where near getting it sorted.

I will be looking at Tesco next i think.

I don't know about Tesco home insurance but we've had a lot of customers that have used Tesco car insurance and had difficulty getting them to pay out.

I know it's in the interest of any insurance/warranty company to try and wriggle out of paying but it seems a common theme that the problems are related to Tesco.

This is all only in my experience [and even that isn't first hand!] and as with everything on the internet, you'll get 10 glowing references and 10,000 moans!

i pay £17 a month with Sheilah's wheels and that's with emergency cover 24/7
