Only 4 days and I'm off to Australia!!!
Can't bloody wait, it's in the 40's where we are going, Brisbane here we come!!
Who else has been? and what is the flight like, we are taking our 20 month old daughter with us, so if anyone has any tips on how to keep her occupied would be greatfully received
Cheers
Garry

Girlfriends step bro flies in with wife and two kids business class twice a year. They are 2 and 6 months although he has been flying with them since new born. Not any real problems except this time he had a credit left for a business class flight from his old company, only for two people though. He had to go cattle class with the son and she was in business with the 6 month old. Try getting to the airport and telling a two year old where mummy is! After he had settled though he was fine. The staff are normally good with colouring books and special meals, you may have to request them though.
You will obviously have requested a basinet thus meaning you have a bulkhead seat with great leg room. Singapore Airlines are the best for entertainment and the food is also very good. Staff are fantastic there too.
We fly back at least once a year in cattle class but as long as I have a bulk head seat or an aisle I am happy. A flight that lands you in oz or the UK towards the evening is better if you are not used to it so you can jump straight into the time zone.
We fly back in May for a week but hopefully have enough points for an upgrade this time to save the DVT!!
You will love it and the weather is superb in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Heading for 34 today in Melbourne so the beach is calling tonight
Any info you need just ask

Cheers Saff Cossie,
We are flying with Singapore Airlines, take off from Heathrow at 18.15pm, so not too bad for my daughters sleeping times. We have a 9 hour wait at Singapore though not too good eh. Do you know if there is a lot to do there? I have also heard there is a swimming pool on the roof?
Cheers

Yeah Singapore has a fair bit to do. There is a botanical garden in the airport and a pool on the roof as you say. Also showers and toilets etc. There are lots of shops also.
I think they classify the time at the airport differently based on your hours. e.g you have 3 hours to spare do this, 6 hours do this etc. You can get a tour as well of the city.
Singapore Airlines have Super Nintendos or Gameboy Colors built in and movies "on demand" so you can fast forward/rewind at your leisure not set times like most airlines. There are also PC games and every concievable music channel. Also kids shows, sitcoms etc.
There is as much drink as you like and nibbles, just ask and they gladly bring you anything.
Singapore is always humid and nice in all my stop overs. Lovely place. Will see if I can find anything on things to do there and post back.

Mate, i hope you are going to the sunshine coast or the Gold coast and not actually to Brisbane itself??? There is noting at all to do in Brisbane If ya do stay there book plenty of trips to gold coast, sunshine close and Moreton island where the Tangalooma Dolphin resort is. Hope ya have a good time mate, like i say 3 times i been now and i cant wait to go again
