where have all the old cars gone?now its just new boring cars going about.i always notice an old car driving past out of the corner of my eye even on the motorway as they seem to stand out more.by me i often see in everyday use.1 d reg 3 door cosworth,c reg mk3 escort,f reg mk4 escort,g reg peugeot 206 gti,2 old minis,1 mk2 astra,3 mk3 cavaliers,1 p100,1 mk1 xr2,1 s2 rs turbo,my old mk1 orion,g reg sierra sapph,3novas,2 mk1 golfs,1 old beetle,2 mk1 polos.all of them are everday cars and most arent enthusiast owned.you dont even see mk5 escorts or mk3 fiestas anymore!

i remember there was an a reg orange 3 door used daily by me up till a couple of years ago.it was very tidy except the bottom of the drivers door was rusting from the inside out.ended up being scrapped then going to cowdenbeath to be banger raced.so many sierras have been wasted this way.

my neighbour has a MK1 Anglia with a 2.0 Pinto or some thing in it? I have a MK2 1959 daimler. Followed a MK1 3 doo escort through town yesterday. A bloke a few strets down has a Trans AM And a Mustang, they are pretty old but not 100% sure how old.
I usually spot a group of old fords at a local dockyards, look t be a few nice ones but never investigate

anything older than m reg (1992-93).like i said,i never see old mondeos,mk5 escorts,mk3 astras etc.like fuzzy said its been too easy to get finance in the last decade.i remember when i started driving, nobody had new cars.back then a corsa was a 3 year old car and nobody young could afford them.now anybody can get a new corsa or fiesta.the scrappage scheme will cull any remaining decent motors that are owned by people who see them as just another car and not something that could be a future classic.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Saw a nice white spotless Capri 2.8i in my town a couple of days ago.
Have you notice how almost every MK 2 Mondeo has a shagged rear bumper (and often front as well).
Along a similar vein to the original post, what are other members favourite eras from a car point of view? Mine has got to be 82-93.
