Default STOLEN - Subaru Impreza Wagon *UPDATE*

Taken from another local car forum I post on..

Well, got a call from the garage that is doing the last few bits of upgrade work on my impreza earlier on today.

It seems that one of the knob jockeys that works there didnt lock up properly last night and as a result my Subaru got stolen from where it should of been locked and secure.

Im really ****ing pissed off because ive spent got knows how much money on this car and some ****ing wanking ****ing ****head has gone and ****ing nicked it.

They nicked a few other cars aswell. namely a Silvia S15 and also a Escort RS Mexico.

I mean come on who the hell doessnt lock a building up properly when you have over 20k of cars in the ****ing garage?!?!

Grrrr, so ive spent all day on the phone today moaning and complaining and trying to get the insurance ball rolling.

What a ****ing headache i dont need right now.

(sorry for the swearing, im just a bit annoyed) And Breathe.
Green Subaru Impreza Wagon with Gold wheels.

Not sure about the keys, but I assume they were left on site.

The garage has insurance, but they may not pay out because the garage was not locked.

No info on the other cars at the moment, I thought there would of been a post up by now about the Escort that was stolen.

The engine and diffs in the Subura had just been fitted the day before aswell!

Surely even if their insurance won't pay out, your legal cover on your policy should cover you pursuing the value of your car & compensation/convenience through the courts?

(I do realise its not your car)

I thought it was pretty much standard practice in private garages these days to take the keys home at night.

Big dealers obviously have the security systems to mitigate it, but your average garage shouldnt be taking the risk really.

sounds a bit iffy to me,somebody had to know that the garage was unlocked that night, these scummy bastards dont go round trying proper car shop garage doors, maybe residential garages and normal car doors to see what twat left their door open but not a modifying garage with 20 odd ks worth of cars in it.sorry but sounds like an inside job to me!

Yeah, assuming he has legal cover with his insurance.. is it included with Fully Comp?

The guy said he has a family member who is a Solicitor, so will making a private claim for the car. If the garage or car insurance do not pay out.

Thats exactly what I said as soon as I heard, sounds like an inside job.

The garage didn't inform the guy his car had been stolen until the afternoon, when it happened the night before!

UPDATE!!!

The car been found!!

Safe and well. Well kind of anyway.

Turns out it was taken up north somewhere and hidden up. Then was used one night and was picked up by police with tracker.

Guys stopped and pegged it but left the car in one piece unharmed. Im really happy.

its now got to make its way back from Grimsby(?) area and hopefully i should be getting it back soon.

then ill consider selling it. not keen on the idea of having a car that someone has nicked off me. if you know what i mean
