Default Found me another granny 24v for spares. for 50 quid!!!!

cant believe this, got offered this for 50 quid so I snapped his hand off, fully working engine, timing chain changed 11,000 mile ago at a astronomical cost. ex police though but it will do me for spares for my magenta granny cosworth. he was gonna weigh it in for scrap. some of you might agree but not me

I don't thrash mine but they are better on fuel than the normal 2.9's but i get about 25 -27 mpg, and it only really goes around town. if ya convert them to manual then i've heard of just over 30 to the gallon, but a lot of work for 5 mpg if ya know what i mean

the back arches have bloody great holes in them as usual, yet the sills and inner wings are fine. it got no back exhaust on it and I think the air flow meter is buggered, but it don't smoke or nowt.

I was trawling the 'net for one of these cheap earlier to whack the engine into a Capri we're working on and cheapest I could find was Ł495ono. Bargain. Saw loads for sub-Ł200 though when I wasn't looking for one!

the engine will end up for sale mate. I only need the car for most of the other mechanical stuff. I shall just strip the car and leave the engine and box. theres nothing wrong with my engine ya see. I just have little niggly problems with my car, switches and stuff.

Those front calipers are the same spec as the Cosworth 4x4's, only the size of the mounting hole differs. I have a set on my fwd RS2000 coupled with Mondeo 178mm disc's

Ł50! Those cars cost over Ł25k new I believe?
