how would you occupy yourself for 240 hours?
ive just been offered some work, 12 hour shifts, 20 in a row, ive a feeling its going to be very boring, so trying to think of some things to do to occupy myself!
ive got a learn spanish cd/book i wanted to try and cover, but im sure thatll only take a few days.
other than spending a fortune on books and magazines i cant really think of much else and i wont have access to the internet!
sooooo, ideas! what should i do?

If you want a book that will teach you about tuning engines, I can wholeheartedly recomend:
Tuning BL's A series engine, by david vizard
Its about mini engines, but most things are directly relevant to all engines, and there is an absolute wealth of real world data in there.
Its mega heavy going in places and will easily occupy you for the whole 240 hours by the time you go back over things again and again etc
Not sure on other tuning books as TBH thats the only one Ive actually read, but it stood my in good stead about 15 years ago when I first started tuning engines and wanted some background info!

a well known DIY superstore is having issues with the landlords, who want to change the locks of the premises. theres been a court order issued denying them the right to do so but there must be someone on site for this to be valid - something about a law whereby lanlords can gain access to a premises, domestic or commercial, to change locks, but only if the premises is empty.
basiclly, i sit there from 8pm - 8am (4pm - 10am sundays!!!!) keeping an eye on the front door for locksmiths having been sent to change the locks.
worst case scenario, a locksmith turns up to change the locks, and i have to send him away
i was actually thinking about tuning books, and bizarly trying to get hold of a david vizard A series book i flicked through a few years back or something similar! will get down to the local library when i get there and see what the score is.
beauty of the whole thing is, we get paid per hour for what 'work' we do, then are given a Ł50 expenses allowance for everyday we're there for digs, but im staying at my nans 20 miles away from the place for free bargain
ill literally be getting paid for doing NOTHING!
so appart from read, what else can we come up with? i havnt got access to a laptop unfortunatly, although i can get on the net with my phone but its brutally slow.
was thinking a paint by numbers or an airfix set
