Default Mk3 escos 400bhp or the card ???? EDIT- thats me halfway!!

Right guys i cant decide, some of you know that i have bought a mk3 shell that is minty mint with something daft like 25k on the clock, this shell was bought for a 4x4 conversion, i was going to make it a series 1 copy in every way apart from about 400bhp and 4 wheel drive

Well recently someone asked if i was selling, i said no at first but i have this niggling feeling that i should be putting the money towards the credit card (which is very high). I also think i have gone off the series 1 idea and want a mk4 shape??? I wouldnt be able to start the conversion till next year anyway if i kept the shell and jackos real busy too.

I dont know, whats your thoughts,

Series 1 , Series 2 , a sleeper (kinda like wennys) or pay the card and wait till next year.

i'd pay the card off personally mate - i know it'd be wicked fun terrorising people in a 4wd mk3 rocket on track days / traffic light grand prix's.. but sometimes you just have to be sensible and pay off the debts first.

Definitely pay the card off mate.

Worst case if you dont is that you'll end up depressed, standing back with your x amount of debt filling your thoughts, looking at a (probably broken or rough running) MK3 Escort and wondering why you plumbed all your money into that rather than going debt-free for a while and buying something to potter around with as and when you have cash free...

Cheers,
Grant

they just phoned!

its the heater resistor,

the drain test will be around 89 quid????

but to fit the new resistor its 148 ish i presume plus vat.... for everything, so might as well get it done since its basically the same price. I take it take about 2 mins to put a new resistor in and that why she kept the same labour charge?

they hadnt looked at the over heating, i told the girl that the radiators been replaced and the water pump, could they start it up in the workshop and see if the gauge goes up after a while? she away to get them to do it.

15 mins to fit the resistor mate on the computer can do it in a couple mins if you know what your doing! I knew they would charge you a bit for checking & i bet the tech went straight to the resistor fault without doing a drain test because the panel was working with the ignition off..

yeah i know, i even told them what you said about it when i delivered it. So they would have known that the resistor was goosed from the start! Suppose all they will say is well we needed to check anyway!

Card i say, before it's even on your mind to do it you know it makes sense, once that's paid off then nothing else to worry about, how big is LARGE tho, a grand, just under, just over, 4 grand? depends on your circumstances.
