Default Has anyone had experience of these radiators??

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-RS500-Cos...1|293:1|294:50

...And is this as good a deal as it appears??

I've got a Radtec alloy rad on my Sapph at the moment which has sprung a leak, took it to Radtec on monday and its not repairable Only 2 and a half years old too!

They have offered me a very good deal on a new one from them but before i get one, are these any good or am i better off sticking with Radtec?

Cheers, Karl

I know mate, not really the rads fault, had a head crack not long after fitting the rad, i think this must have weakened it, it was fine for ages, then started to leak, only very slight but not repairable apparently.

Done approx 10k miles,

Cheers, Karl

Leaking just above where the bottom hose goes on, at the joint between the end cap and the core of the rad.

Its at radtec at the moment, hopefully will be picking it back up next week mate

For a little bit more you could get a airtec, tried and tested, even the 70mm version, very heavy gauge material they are made from.
There are other parts of the cooling system that would give trouble due to pressurisation before the rad, this sounds like a pure and simple made a bit shit, but they don't have the balls to admit it.
Personally with that attitude don't think I'd spend anymore with them.

I know what you're saying unfortunately i didnt buy it direct from Radtec, i bought it through PJ Motorsport so i cant really argue the toss with Radtec and i would think PJ would only warranty it for a year or so??
So i'm a bit screwed really, dont mind paying good money for another rad as long as its gonna last this time!!
