Oil temp on track
ok,. did a full track day yesterday
and of course EVERYTHING was bloody hot, though the water seem to be perfect and stayed 80 degrees the whole day, which was fantactic
the oil temp was averaging 103-110 and on a race..lol i was seeing 115,
i run silkolene pro s oil
whats the safe limit of oil TEMP and what should i have my warning to ?
currently it's on 110
ALSO would like to thank chip, for the mapping alterations and checking he did, as it proved to be perfect and had no issues at all with the car

30psi in all tyres
i dont have a accurate oil pressure gauge yet, it stays the same through out the day, i guess the decent oil helps there,
the gauge does work, as it will alter when ticking over and so on,
as to high good it is i dont know or care, oil temp and water temp i worry about

I contacted "Oilman" about oil temps and he said over 120c is when oils start to breakdown. He also said the pro s 10-50 will stay good up to 150c all day long.Regards,Micky
