is there an electronic boost controller , or did it have one and hes took it off the car when he sold it to you , give the previous owner a bell as it may save you alot of time

i have been told u dont need them,but not sure if thats true.i know they are different but,all my rs turbos have never had them when they have been set up.jamsport have always put a bleed valve between turbo and actuator and blocked off the airbox one

it doesnt NEED one, its just the standard form of boost control.
if you want to pipe it back up standard, then firstly check if the amal valve is working, put a 12v onto it and listen for it 'clicking' if it does so, then it should be in working order, so pipe it up as it should be!

Some ppl take them off as it can be tempremental!!! Also depends what set ups ppl are using as when the twin port actuator kit was fitted to mine the amal valve was taken out as its all in car adjustable!! The wires should be there somewhere, think its off the same bit that the temp gauge wire is.
You dont NEED it really but obviously is a way for the ecu to cut the boost if its not happy etc, when they work anyway
But sounds like yours does need looking at or sorting out, at the least with a bleed valve!
