Default No amal valve connected????

Bought a RWD saph the other day, a few issues with it, including the fact that the amal valve isn't connected to anything, it's there but not plumbed in or wired up....

Nah I'm doing it myself justnow, car has loads of issues I'm trying to sort out, the amal valve being 1 of 4000, so it doesn't warrant a setup at the moment.

Nah he doesn't know as he never had the car long, I very much doubt it's had one, the car is very rough elsewhere so it looks like someone has just run it without the valve.

it doesnt NEED one, its just the standard form of boost control.

if you want to pipe it back up standard, then firstly check if the amal valve is working, put a 12v onto it and listen for it 'clicking' if it does so, then it should be in working order, so pipe it up as it should be!

Some ppl take them off as it can be tempremental!!! Also depends what set ups ppl are using as when the twin port actuator kit was fitted to mine the amal valve was taken out as its all in car adjustable!! The wires should be there somewhere, think its off the same bit that the temp gauge wire is.

You dont NEED it really but obviously is a way for the ecu to cut the boost if its not happy etc, when they work anyway

But sounds like yours does need looking at or sorting out, at the least with a bleed valve!

Thanks for the replies, not sure to be honest Col, I'm going to sort out the wiring for starters, and tidy up the body and see where that gets me.
