removing lacquer and polishing wheels!! what to use?

Default removing lacquer and polishing wheels!! what to use?

can anyone tell me if there is anything available to go in a drill/grinder for polishing a set of alloy wheels!which are best? cheers

not really the answer i wanted!surely it wont take that long! just wanna remove old knackered lacquer and polish a set of my mk5 2000 rims!

just be carefull if your using anything in a drill or grinder on your wheels the alloy is softer than you think i did mine marked them in a few places ended up just wet flatting them in the end took me a fuckin age to do them lol

As said anything on a drill is likely to rip the fuck outa the ally, u sure their lacquered and not powdercoated?!

Nitromorse will take off the old lacquer then its a case of rubbing them down with different grades of paper until all the pits and marks are gone.

It will take a while but if you do one per evening or afternoon then you'll save yourself about £200 in refurbing

If you watch Deals on Wheels or Wheeler Dealers old Ed China does some for a MkI MR2 and does a real nice job of it.

He does use a soft pad in a drill with some polishing compound and they came up mint
