Default Wheel power Vs Flywheel Power, rr Help Needed

I dnt understand it, I have a evo 3.2 e36, The car seems very quick on the road, about as quick as my sapphire was, well nearly and that was running 26psi on greens, t3 turbo, big cooler etc.

So i joned the e36coupe forum, an posted my graph results, according to them if my wheel figure is 242, then my evo is 291.5 at the fly. Witch to me sounds rubbish.

So can anyone shed any light on this?

id always thought 15% for 2wd transmission loss was about right. so it would be even less at the fly with 278.3.

without sounding silly but its definately a s50b32 and not an s50b30 engine?
other than that how reliable is the ATW figure you have?

its on a p reg and has a 6 speed box so should be a 3.2, if not someone has gone to a lot of trouble. easy enough to check if it has single or double vanos.

double vanos and also, they said do it in 5th so i did, and its 240 atw. 260atw in 4th 280 in 3rd.

I Raced my own st220, with 345bhp on gas.

We was driving bk from milton keynes, i was in the bimmer bro in the mondeo, sat at 70mph and there was nothing in it, I was gutted i said its shit, its not as fst as the st, but then my bro told me he was using my gas.

So anyone try telling me, that my 3.2 evo is only 280,290,300 at the fly can kiss my ass lol.

m_nettleship: i know the 3.0L ones are 286 bhp and not as quick as the evo's.

Also pretty sure ive heard/read up that the 3.2 evo's aren't really 321bhp as claimed to be. All or more or less the ones that have been dyno'ed come out around 290bhp

I'd always thought that on front engined cars, the power losses in transmission were a few % bigger on RWD than FWD. This always seemed to be the explanation (or part of it) for why, for e.g., my ST220 feels stronger than my e46 330i did. ALthough in your case I guess this is too little to explain the whole story. Just a thought.
