If you live in Kent, id look for you. Ive had a few modded ones over the last 10 years.
If its a prodrive kit, its a UK car and unfortunately the gearbox the same as the normal Uk car.
www.sidc.co.uk is the best place to ask.
2002 will be the Bugeye model, but if it has the Prodive body upgrades (you can just have the engine upgrades) then it should look reasonably better with its different lights.
If you can tell me where you live, Ill help you find someone.

agree with jay although if you shop around you should be able to get one for 6K
ive had 4 or 5 new age stis
only 1 bugeye though and onle ever had the rear shocks being a problem.
Check that they have been done.
gearbox should be very mechanical. Clutches can be expensive so make sure the bite is strong.
Check for accident damage as always and listen to the engine carefully although the uk ones are pretty reliable its not unheard of for them to start knocking.

Do all the normal car checks - HPi, tyres, seats, boot floor etc..
Basically check everything in the paperwork, make sure it brakes ins a straight line at 40-60-80mph without touching the steering wheel and make sure the cambelt and clutch have been done. They are the most expensive items.
At th end of the day, its what you want and like that matters. But remember, that a better (modded or JDM) car may cost Ł300 more a year insurance, but you send more than Ł600 modding it over two years.
