Oh dear oh dear, he told a few porkies to the stewards. Shame but I guess rules are rules. Not ideal for an incumbent World Champ to behave like that. I blame McLaren for pressuring him into it

To be honest, I cant really remember when politics of some sort or another hasnt decided who wins the title, certainly it has played a huge part in the sport since the early 80's, it's just these days with more information available to us we get to know a bit more of whats going on

I actually love all this drama, it's the only TV i really watch and it beats eastenders by a mile!!! You then have all this in between - fantastic

IMHO if they are going to make decisions on rule breaking after one event, the penalty should be applied for the next event.
So that the people you sew win on the day, are the ones who win on the day in all cases.
Anything before the race should effect that race, anything after the race should effect the next race.
Although I must confess I havent really thought through what happens on the last race of the season, LOL

The problem over the last few years has been this stupid thing of applying a stop/go penalty after the race has ended, and using the loophole of a team not being able to appeal a stop go once the race has ended! I think the stewards need to be able to make quicker decisions but in this case with Hamilton, as it was right at the end of the race I fail to see what else could have been done. He cheated his way to third so HAS to be dq'd. It's nothing to do with the following race.

he (or his team) told a lie to get 3rd place and has been found out, now if he loses the title by the amount of points he has just thrown away then he has no one to blame but himself

Jarno Trulli: Lewis slowed down so I passed him

Stewards: ah then you get a 25 sec penalty Jarno
JT: but look at his laptime, it's slow
Stewards : no thank you we believe Lewis
