hi, im going to try & re-sit my GCSE's to get me A-C grades as the highest i left school with 6years ago is a D grade.

reason for the re-sits is im hoping to join th RAF to become an aircraft engineer (mechanical).

one of the guys across the road does tutoring, i'll ask him the enxt time i see him, but from memory you can take them either at the normal times or in january if you are doing them in schools, but i'm not sure what you could do as a private person

Have you spoken to the RAF recruiting people.
There may be something else/better you can do for entry qualification.
You may be wasting time doing Gcse.

no disrespect but it also depends on why you got low grades, fundemental understanding? lazyness?? illness? etc etc as your tutoring will need to be based around that.

Oh and as focusv8 says check with RAF for alternative equivilent qualifications that meet what you need as it may be easier than retaking full gcses.

Most adult colleges will do GCSE's in some form. IIRC you can as an adult take the GCSE exams at any time they are available in schools eg normal summer, resits and i also think jan. I remember doing the GCSE's for the lads on boat and the problem was finding courses to teach people not doing the exams.

This is why i never understand why they have exams like that. Just have one exam for all then theres no limit. I think its a bit wrong them setting exams that "write you off" with lower grades.
