anywere mate your local supernarket even sells it in pots, we bought ours from sainsburys.
is there any special way to pick the herbs? basil etc does it regrow?
what doesnt regrow?
it makes the food burst with flavour, made some meatballs yesterday with a little musturd, chilli, lots of basil
i think the best thing is we make everything with british quality meat and make all our own sauces etc so i know my kids arent eating any crap, now were growing our own herbs its even better, thinking of doing another pot for rocket spring onion etc to make the salad

I grow loads of herbs and salad stuff
Cooking is dead easy now.
Thyme and rosemary are my two faves for the garden, but we have bay trees, chives, basil, oregano, mint, sage and corriander.
So So nice to pop out onto the patio woth a pair of scissors whilst i'm cooking and harvest a few things to flavour up the meal i'm making

Fresh Oregano smells lovely, but it needs a hot climate to give it strong flavour, and the plants go straggly and need replacing after a while. Basil is easy, I plant it into great big pots, give it loads of light, I've had Basil flowering on my windowsill in December
And bay is the best, 2 bay "trees" on my balcony, bay goes with everything, especially casseroles, italian stuff, anything really.
Oh and remember to FEED your herbs - if you're harvesting the plant then it's going to need far more nutrients than a plant that just looks pretty. I highly recommend Miracle Gro - yes we all laugh at the stupid ads but the stuff works really well, don't skimp if as said you're harvesting whatever plant it is.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I've got herbs and they are so easy to grow.
A nice tip for gardeners is get some peppermint. Ours grows like mad and we never use it. What I use it for is if my hards feel smelly whilst outside (oil, etc) I rub my hands on it and gives a nice peppermint smell to them.

Tomato plants are great!
They give off a great smell and the tomatoes off the vine are LUSH!
Mines went t!t's up last year when my wife 'forgot' to water them whilst I was offshore for about a month.
My mum grows them from seed, so I'll have another go again this year.
