Default 2WD Big Wing Sump or Gated Sump

I've got to change the sump on the 3 door due to a small hairline crack, just enough so the oil seaps out slowly.
I was going to buy a secound hand sump and fit a gated insert form Touring Car Spares, but then once I have paided for that i'm not far off getting big wing one.
Which is better the car will be used on the track and possibly sprint hillclimbing it this year (fingers crossed)
Cheers Rich

Ultimate insurance is both!

They work very well together.

If you had to pick just one though what would it be?

I'd be very happy to supply you with both , a big wing sump with a Gated baffle fitted .

obv a winged sump will hold more oil, but if your cornering extreamly hard, then it may not be enough to avoid surge/starvation.

so id go for both lol

I completely agree, more oil just means more surge !

for hard cornering i'd say the baffle is more important
but as already said go for both
if building a track car then i always fit both
