Monaro Twin Turbo

Monaro Twin Turbo
I had to go to brands hatch on friday to feature this:
929bhp so far, and its only on a mega conservative map!
Fucking loving these Monaro's, thinking about sacking off the idea of putting a v8 in my sierra, and instead just breaking it and buying one of these, seems to make a lot more sense!
Plus they come in yellow anyway like this one, lol

Total Vauxhall mate, although occasionally I write bits and pieces for other future publications too.
Im freelance though, so dont technically 'work for them' as such, im just an occasional contributor. (normally tuning stuff not car features, but this one was such a technical based feature anyway I got the gig which I was happy to do of course!)

Its ridiculously civilised, it will potter around at low speed quite happily and you wouldnt know you were driving a modified car, its mental how well it still behaves, until it comes on boost you would have no clue it was not standard really mate.
still full leather and aircon and a boot for the shopping etc, he does over 10K miles a year in it and his wife uses it for going to tescos.

Have you seen how cheap early monaros are as well? They book at just over 8k for an 04 plate!!!!
What are these Big v8's like (reliability wise) once they have been tuned? I assume theres a massive parts/spares back up in the states?

6k aint too expensive in the overall scheme of things for nearly 600 bhp!

Thats trade price, retail is 11k!
Mind you, not that i'd imagine you'd get offered anywhere near 8k for it in p/x if you had one?
Or on the otherhand they'd be over run with customers for them in the current "economic climate".
Bloody good value at the price they are IMO.
