ford tddi pump question? coding?
 
ive been told by a mate i cant fit a 2nd hand pump and get it coded unlessthe codes wiped before the pump is removed, is this the case? i have a pump ive bought and planned to get it fitted then coded again at fords. Any help much appreciated, cheers :top:

IIRC yes Ford will recode it for you mate... but take LOTS of KY Jelly.

A Virgin pump costs about £500 ish if memory serves.

i know it needs coding but want to make sure a 2nd hand pump can be coded fine? was removed from another focus. cheers

pretty sure you can

phone any main dealer and confirm

yes mate you can code the pump, it doesn't have to be wiped first. they wipe it the re code it when the do it as one big package. tbh i'd want them to gold plate the code for the 88quid they charge
