Just got back from Manchester from watching Lee evans at the MEN arena.

Never seen him live - the guy is a genius. First half was funny but after the break it just got funnier and funnier. Did Bohemian Rhapsody the end too - amazing


Was completely fucked about by the taxi firm who we booked the return journey taxi with though - apparantly his brake disc fell out of the caliper and thats why he was over an hour late pmsl

note - do not use castle cars in stoke (they are lying wasters )

I think most companys in stoke are run by wasters thats why its one of the poorest areas in the midlands

At least the taxi driver spoke english

Oh another interesting fact i found out about stoke, Stoke on trent has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in europe

 

Hes a very funny man, does sweat a lot tho

Lee evans is the best comedian, probably the only one who does not need to take the piss out of the disabled or use racism etc to get laughs, he is just a genuinely funny guy! How old is he now?

 

Oh im buy no means taking away what tallent the man has, in fact i think hes probably the best stand up comedian out there.

I wouldnt even get up on stage, wouldnt last 1 min as im not funny, ive done performances on stage playing guitar and singing, so i know how nerveracking it can be.

But come one he does sweat unbelievable amounts

I def thought 2nd part was so much funnier than first, was nearly crying for the whole of it!

Kills me the noises he makes/banging microphone etc - all fits in so well (balls in the sink part ).

I dont think there was one person left sitting when he had finished

I saw him at Glasgow SECC. My jaws were sore for 3 days after

Seriously funny guy. Ive wanted to see him for years as ive got all his dvd's. The show was worth 5 times the price of the ticket. Was such a great night and was on for ages!

I liked when he was wondering what horses said to each other in the barn. He pretended he was a horse and said to the other horse "pete, pete, look what i can do!" then made a clack noise lwhile clicking his 'hoofs' together

 

Lee Evans is 44, he has been married since 1984, so yep 24 years, the year I was born, good god, lol!

He does seem to get funnier. Gets his touring/new shows just right in my opinion. Doesn't release new and substandard material every year like some do now

 

I nearly peed at that bit! It was when he left it for a sec then jumped his feet together CLICK!! Sooo funny

 

Was laughing at the bit where he was talkin about traffic lights with those jackets on, saying it was like a straight jacket on then he immitated the light saying "Im Britney Spears I am"

Made it even funnier cos my girlfriend who was with me is a massive Britney fan and she was like "eh thats not even funny"

 

His tour DVD came out today if anyone fancies buying it

 

Definitely buying it! I was there the night it was filmed

 

I got mine delivered this morning. Only went to see him 2 weeks ago @ Brighton

Going to watch it one night this evening, the man is just a legend

 

Not going to knock him as I think hes a good guy. Hes just set some record for 80K people in 5 days.

But the reviews for his shows have been mixed. The Bohemian Rhapsody thing hes been doing for a long time. Like his song with the Piano. General consensus is that if you go, you're going to laugh a lot. But don't expect ground breaking or edgy humour. Or even if you believe the reviews very much in the way of newer material.

 

I am a MASSIVE Lee Evans fan, but i have to say, in my own opinion, his songs have always been shite. Apart from the Bohemian Rhapsody one

 

am i the only person on here that doesnt like him, i just dont think he's very funny or clever, not a patch on other stand up acts such as eddie izzard, dylan moran or bill bailey!

 

I used to really like Izzard. Glorious was the best to me. I think they all peak though.

 

Went with a mate to the O2 last week to see him. Once I started laughing I didn't stop till the end of the show. Face ached like mad with so much laughing.

saw him in sheffield in September was eye wateringly funny! HATE his song endings though!

 

i saw him , in about 1990,,, on holliday at a plase called Vista Blanes on Menorca.
He was doing the stand up stuff for Thompsons iirc,,, how people come on in the world eh,, funny then funny now

 

When i first saw him on TV i didnt rate him....strange...as i love him now! FUNNY isnt a good enough word!
