The series 1 4x4 escos saga!!!! edit: The wee mans here with pics!
jacko, i have been talking to this guy about his car.

What do you think, he says it has been doen from a brand new ford shell that he bought in 2000. Says it basically only needs a engine, box and the tanks, radiators, intercooler etc. Its had a xr4x4 floorpan put in.
You think its a good idea? Maybe get this one and bring it up too you to fit the stuff it needs, get it runnning and go get it painted with series one stuff on it?

its easier to just do one than put some body elses stuff right mate
the white one above on the other link was spot on
the last thing you need is to have the running gear in wonky it wont handle or drive right
if i was looking for one id have to have proof it was all straight and been done on a jig of some sort

ach, its cool, i thought it was probably a dog but needed confirmation! especially since he wants a grand for it!
Going to go and see my old series 1 when i get back from the rig and see what kind of nic its in, I will take loads of pics and we'll see if its good enough to send down for the conversion. Thats if he'll decide if i can buy it back!

Right buddy, i pphoned the guy with my old S1 right after i talked to you, he aint selling it! 
So i will be down to either pick up the one you have or just pay for it and leave it at yours???? Dunno, whatevers best. And we can start getting the ball rolling. Cant wait!

you'll never guess what my girlfreind told me when i walked in the door on friday night when i came back off the rig?
"i'm pregnant"
oooft, so sat down and talked things over etc. Realised that my racing the bike is out the window!!!! and said to her i would need to phone jacko and let him know that i wouldnt be able to build the car now, she asked what i was talking about and i explained to her about the car you found me etc.....know what she said?
"Go get it anyway!" hehehehehehehe
So looks like i will still be down next week mate, fair enough the build might not go as quick now but its still sorta on!

HAHA cheeky bugger, yeah going to try and take a spin down next week, looking forward to it, couldnt believe it when she said i could still buy the car. Havent told her that i am going to start the build though........as i told jacko its going to be a little bit longer than before but hey at least its still on the way! 
I didnt realise that you had a build thread in the other section! I will be doing the same, hopefully you lot are good with a camera cos i wont be down there very much! Really cant wait! Jacko said your the one thats going to get your hands on to my pride and joy first!?!?!?! Be carefull with her hehe
