Escort Wing Mirrors
Dozy bitch of a Mrs has just come back form the carwash after being told not to use them and her wing mirror has been broken, no surprise there then!
How easy is it to change the casing on a mark 7 mirror so i don't have to have it painted etc?
I don't hold much hope of the carwash paying for it, so i'll take the price out on her arse later!

Think all you have to do is remove the door card, about 6 screws, then remove some bolts on the inside of the mirror, piece of piss. Easiest to replace whole unit.
PS - There's no Mk7 Escort

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
the mirror removal itslef is easy, you dont have to remove the whole door card if you wont want, but you have to be careful not to damage it. the mirror backplate is held on by 1 screw under the doorcard, and the mirror itself will be held on with either 3 screws or 3 bolts either way just undo them and gently prise it off. then the mirror can be dismantled easy enough, just take you time and be methodical, trickiest screws are behind the mirror at an angle so just tilt the mirror inside the case to gain access.
