Default Anyone recently had Sky HD fitted ?

Do the latest Sky+ HD box's still have the component outputs for the picture ?

I've just ordered Sky HD and have an older plasma TV that has HDMI and component inputs but no DVI. I bought a DVI to HDMI converter socket but I'm concerned that if the HDMI does not like the Sky output I may have to go with component inputs and have read that the latest boxes might not have these ............... in which case I'm screwed and will have to buy a new TV

Thanks for any help

Mark

It's an old Hitachi (over 4 years old) and Im not sure if the HDMI socket was just meant to plug a PC into? With luck it will work fine with the DVI to HDMI converter gadget.

Is the picture difference worth another Ł10 a month ????

There is two types of box(Samsung coming soon), one made by pace and one by thompson. The thompson box has HDMI and component out and I have used both and on either of my TV's there is no difference at all.

Ooops, just got the intructions out again for my TV and it has DVI-D input and I need the converter to go from HDMI to DVI-D, it is listed as RGB1 and just shows a PC connected in the instructions?
