my girlfriend was driving my focus 2.0 ghia today, as she changed gear from 3rd to 4th (prob about 30-40 mph) and it spluttered and cut out.... she changed back down to 3rd and it wouldnt pick up.. so coasted to the side of the road.... the aa came and got her and diagnosed it as snapped cambelt DOH!! whats the chances i've got away without bending the valves????

actually she was going uphill. its only a car, see if she can break my 328 beemer i've now lent her

i was told it had not long had a belt when i bought it 3 years ago.. so was becoming due, but she's only done about 30k in that time..... Doh oh well as said, its only a car....
