Default help zetec to cvh

hi there can any one help i am tryin to do is put the fiesta rs turbo engine in my mk 5 escort whitch had the 130 xr3i engine but it went pop. the fiesta box dont fit in my motor any idear what box will fit the engine and fit the motor with least amount of problems. i have the mtx 75 gear box in my car so i have been told. it has the starter on the front. and what do i use in the way of engine mounts my zetec one,s or the turbo one,s

use the mtx75 box mate, a far better box, people pay big money to get these fitted into rs turbos lol, you may have to use the zetec clutch poss to do so? aparently these are good for 350bhp

nice one your a star mate keep you eyes open for when i post some think else on hear you sound like you know what your talking about. is the box a straight fit on to the cvh bottom end then.

yes, cvh and zetec share the same bellhousing bolt pattern. You'll probably have to play about with the clutch to get one to fit though. You might get away with using the zetec plate and cover on the cvh flywheel if it will fit.

thank you mate grate help. im guessing that the engine mounts will fit as the gear box mounts will be the same if i use the mtx75 box. and i guess i use the mtx drive shafts to.

if you have a mtx set up now id stick with the whole set up i.e mounts etc, then use a pinto clutch i believe which will work with the cvh flywheel, best to double check though

cool thanks you not think the clutch of the fiesta or my zetec will fit then. do you know were i can find out about the pinto clutch.

the input shafts is a different size i believe therefore the clutch wont work

so shall i look for a clutch for a 1.6 pinto or 1.8 then.

im not clued up on pintos tbh but would imagine they're the same?

your all forgetting the mtx gear box is 240mm if you want to use the box you will need use the zetec flywheel for the pick up for cps.

ok so dose the zetec fly wheel fit on the cvh engine with no probs? and do i use the knock senior out the zetec. if i all so have to use the zetec fly wheel that means i can use a zetec clutch yeah.

Didnt they do a 1600 efi is the mark 5 escort. A 1600 sport or something. Cant you use some parts off of one of those

Ie engine mounts, What gearbox did they run. Were they a mtx ?

1600 cvh in the mk5 and late mk6 was not mtx it was all on ib5 box

Couldnt he use the shafts from that and engine mounting then use a rst box so he has the lsd in there? Suppose it depends what power is wanted as to what gear box to use
