Tonight i seem to have suffered this prob:

Initially there is a fuzzy picture, or a loss of colours.
This is usually followed by the total loss of picture - black screen, although the sound still functions.


Anyone know what this is? dead xbox? No red rings etc though.

It'll be red rings soon mate, thats what happened to mine. Give them a ring and they'll sort it.

Cost me £65 quid though

sounds stupid but have you checked all your cables are attached properly? (take them off and give the a quick clean and plug them back in) and try it all hooked up to a seperate tv, if its not working that way then your headed for the ring of death im afraid.

my xbox went off to be repaired today aswell really annoying as ive only had it about 2 months

Oh well fair play to gamestation! They replaced mine over the counter with no problems. And i did not take out any extra warrenty just sovered by their standard year warrenty. Lucky as i bought the console on the 30th September last year!! So more or less just in time. lol
