Default Sky Broadband, any good?

I've been with virgin broadband for years and have been very happy even on the lowest speed but was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with sky?

i just switched from virgin to sky. i wasnt happy with the speed i was getting on the MAX package, but thats only because i'm a HEAVY internet user. and they don't traffic shape like virgin do so i get more relaible speed

the TV is better and cheaper too

good move IMHO

I have Sky package where you get see, speak and surf. Wasnt happy with BT and was getting crappy internet speed and some sites wouldnt ever load when i new it wasnt down!!!

Upgraded, on 8mb and get a constant download speed of 900kb/s and my internet (touch wood) is amazing! (£26 a month and a line rental of £11 a month, £1 extra than BT's phone and internet package was!!! and i get Sky TV aswell and free evening and weekend calls! - oh Sky Customer service is great... you dont go through to India!!!

Hope this helps matey.

Sky gets a thumbs up from me too! I did have a teething problem when it was set up, one quick call to sky and I went straight through to someone in England, the problem was sorted in minutes! Fantastic products, fantastic prices and even better customer service!

I have all the sky products, which makes it good value. Internet is fast even out here in the boondai where I live....

And it never goes off like AOL used to. Which was annoying.

Sky Sports is bloody ace aswell

I had to pay for installation, but that was for the sky TV, even though there was already a dish and wires installed from the previous house owners, it still cost ~£40, which wasn't that great.

The Modem just comes in a box with all installation instructions on a cd rom. Piss easy to do, just remember the password is case sensitive, had my head scratching for a while as to why it wouldnt work
