yeah thats brigewater place in leeds fella now completed ,
33 floors tall ,
that pic was taken on the 28th floor , had to drive a mobile cherry picker to the leading edge of the building to boom out so i could cut some brackets ,
only bloke out of 7 of us willing to do it , lol
the tower crane in the second pic is 110 meters tall,
got put on a nightshift to do the same job ( only had access to crane on eve )
they picked us up on the ground in a man basket , ( small cage ,fits two men) in then lifted us the full hight of the building and then done a 360 slew of the building ,
100 meteres up , almost at the full end of the jib ,
have to say its still one of the best moments ive had out doing it for 8 years ,

Mixed feelings to be honest. Long term its what i wanted but as it wasnt by choice and earlier than planned its left me up shit creek without a paddle!!! Yhe resettlement people kept pushing me towards high level management which was never realistic, yet refused me to do the resettlement courses. I wanted to do SIA course as with the license at least its a key in the door but apparently it was "below me" in the navys eyes!!!!
2 months out of work and only 1 interview so far which is pretty depressing!!
None of the agencies will touch me, even for minimum wage stuff which is annoying!!!
Ultimately I'll sweep shit to pay the bills but the agencys for some reason really dont want me to do packing jobs or unskilled work. Getting jobs at supervisor/manager levels takes time with the interview process!!
